BJP faces vote-bank dilemma: Appease upper castes or others ?
Bharatiya Janata Party’s supposed penchant for caste appeasement is turning out to be just the flip side of the minority appeasement that it has accused the Congress of, over the last six decades. It is another matter that Congress lost much of the upper caste votes only in its quest to garner minority votes. The BJP too now appears to be going down the same road, many believe. If this happens, it is possible that the upper castes may now drift away from the party, sooner than later. And this is what might certainly be giving it sleepless nights. Appease upper castes or take care of the so called ‘have nots’.

Only Narendra Modi. Today the entire world knows and recognises Narendra Modi. No other Indian leader since Independence has been so popular in the Globe like Modi.

“Foolproof Security needed for PM”
Several urban naxals euphemistically called the Maoists-sympathisers, were arrested in country-wide raids. These included lawyers, activists, academics ,journalists, Kashmir separatists, stone pelters etc. The Maoists agenda is to incite violence ,write articles, print posters to radicalise the poor, illiterate, unemployed youth, pick up arms to incite violence to wage a proxy war against the country with China’s covert support- financial and receiving smuggled arms. Masquerading as Maoists' sympathisers, the secessionists acted as conduits to fund and incite the Bhima-Koregaon violence in the guise of dalit unrest.
Indian intelligence’s revelation that the armed Maoists’ single point action plan is to carry out assassination of present PM on the lines of suicide bombing of Rajiv Gandhi at Sriperumbudur, is highly disturbing. The Maoist insurgents, characterised by former PM Dr Manmohan Singh, as the gravest threat to our internal security, have been continuously fine-tuning their strategies and tactics in order to maintain their relevance.
The following course of action is suggested for NSA’ consideration :--
( a) PM Modi must be advised to restrict his movements.
His freely mingling with school children during the independence day celebrations 2018,was a serious security breach.
( b) Secret links of the urban naxalites with the Congress, Communists and the ISI, must be probed. China’s interests are served in destabilizing India.
(c) Congress President’s tendentious statements about the ISIS on foreign soils reveal his subconscious mindset. As head of Congress's dirty tricks department, these have serious implications.
Violence will escalate as country moves closer to States assemblies' and General elections. Precautions are needed to protect national interests and assets.

All world leaders are popular in their own areas of influence but two of them carry the limitation of communism and hatred sown against China & Russia by contingents of the Cold War era. Donald Trump seems to be popular more because of America as a country rather than his personal charisma. Besides, he is and shall remain in the firing line of the “Me Too” Brigade. That leaves Narendra Modi alone in the fray. Narendra Modi suffers neither the hate campaigns against communism nor firing from the “Me Too” protagonists. Whatever Narendra Modi has achieved is by dint of sheer hard and honest work and devotion to service of the people and the country. He is his own leader, plays risk, is capable and innovative. Most world leaders know him personally and have displayed warm feelings for him.

Make rupee strong
One of the fastest moves for making the currency strong will be speedy implementation of e-cars which will take care of the Dollar & foreign reserves. One Independent Ministry should be open for this purpose & priority to be given to the Industry for development & setup from all over the world. If government is concerned of its revenue, it can be covered from electric charging stations selling electricity.

Opinion:- It looks obvious that Narendra Modi is the most popular leader in the world today. Not to be construed partisan. The fact of the matter is that he is the only leader in this lot who has travelled the width and breadth of the world and everywhere he was welcomed and recognised enthusiastically by the leaders and people of those countries, not to forget the Indian diaspora in all these countries.

Travel in economy class only
Travel in Air India during official tour, LLTC & LTC by PSU's PSB's to be made compulsory. All should travel in economy class only. Air India should convert all their fleet into economy class for domestic travel. This will help ailing Air India to bail out. This should hold good for International travel. it is very much possible to bail out Air India in a span of two years. If govt permits, I can give consultancy.

“Politica, Indica, corruptica”
The media report on Ms Chanda Kochhar’s appointment as Director on the board of ICICI Securities, has sent shock waves among civil services, public and private sector . An attempt has been made to legitimize a patent illegality.
This is an open and shut case. Quid pro quo is clearly established. No rocket science is needed to probe into whistle blower’s allegations.
The public was promised zero tolerance to corruption and ethical values in providing Good governance ? Besides hitting the credibility of the ruling dispensation, lack of action against Ms Chanda Kochhar accused of financial shenanigans, has sent wrong signals across the country, creating a crisis of confidence. Nation wants to know the truth.
PM Modi is urged to take the call in public interest.

Mrs Chanda Kochhar re-appointed as Dir of ICICI Securities
Ms. Chanda Kochar has had her snout in the till of ICICI money for a long time. It blew up when the clear nexus in favouring her husband in shady loan deals involving Videocon blew up. She was put on the bench to gracefully go home. For much smaller transgressions, lesser mortals are hauled on coals, and their lives destroyed. Her new avatar as Director in ICICI securities is bad news for ICICI financial health and the stock market, since ICICI is one of the largest private / semi private banks around. What is great about Chanda that she should be retained where she can influence CBI investigation. It is well known that Videocon Dhoot sahib has deep tentacles throughout the polity and bureaucracy. Wonder what hold has she on the policy makers of the day ? This is a fit case for the Finance Minister to intervene and the government steps to call this sham of rehabilitation. Sooner the better for the Modi government, which wears its honesty on its sleeve.

Dudh putt.
Whenever some festival is nearby ,reports of the raids on the sweets shops, milk dairies, milkmen and producers of milk products, dot the newspapers like the flocks of fast flying birds in the evening. These vanish as soon as they are sighted. In the year 1966-67,Mr Dharamvira ICS was the Governor of Punjab, when it was felt for the first time, by one and all, that there was an administrator, who had eliminated adulteration of all products, hoarding of essential commodities and above all black marketing. In that era of squeezed commodities rationing used to be the hall mark of the governance, so masses were grateful. His efforts were consistent and regular and not seasonal and a mock play to please the gallery. Recently, the administration has garnered some praise for catching the murderers, who manufactured milk from chemicals and consequently its killing milk products. I am reminded of more than four decades old incident relating to milk.
It was my first posting as Tehsildar under-training in a far away district from my home city. The city was part of the erstwhile PEPSU, and the old eerie princely buildings struck me with countless fears, when I was passing through the bazaar on a rickety rickshaw, to reach the tehsil office. I entered tehsildar's office, which was overcrowded. He was hearing the arguments of lawyers. With great difficulty, I managed to contact the peon there, who ,after knowing my credentials took me to a small room, which was retiring room of the tehsildar. It was a very repulsive room and it made me think of my days of freedom at Amritsar. The dreary thoughts of having to spend my future in such places, were demoralizing .After an hour, tehsildar came in and assessed me with piercing eyes, which could not hide gravity of my being an unwelcome intrusion. However a week passed by and there was a slight relief from pangs of loneliness.
One fine morning, I was called by the tehsildar at his residence. He told me that there would be a function at ADC'c house after three days, so we must go to him for asking ,if we could be of any help. I was diffident and told him,''I am new to such matters and don't know how I will be able to help him. ''I was thinking of excusing myself, when he cut me short, ''no!no!no! If you want to be a good revenue officer, you must become expert in such matters and now is the right time to learn all this''. He forced me to ADC's residence. The way he was greeted by him, it was obvious that he was a regular visitor there. Immediately after we were seated, he said in all humility, ''Hazoor pata laga si,kake da janam din ae,mein sochya janab kolon koi hukam hakam puchh aawan.(i have come to know that your Honour is celebrating son's birthday, I thought of getting your orders for any work).''ADC, first looked at me ,then hurriedly said,''lorh ttan nahin si, par fir we dekh laina 60 kilo dudh bhijwa dena, kal sawer takk(there is no need but see if 60 kg milk can be arranged by tomorrow morning)''.''Ho gaya hazoor(done sir),''Tehsildar said gleefully.
We came to tehsil and local patwaris , qanugo and, registry clerk were called. They were assigned the task. Qanugo was a very intelligent person. He said, ''Sir, in the months of May and June, because of the scarcity of green fodder, the milk yield sharply declines, and it is difficult to get this much quantity''. However the targets were fixed to be achieved by 5pm that day. At 5 pm local patwaris informed that they could arrange 10 kg and that too from the Halwais. The other two persons also gave so many reasons, which were discarded disdainfully as lame excuses. Tehsildar knew some sarpanchs of nearby villages. Their contribution was almost negligible. We took 2 peons along and went to a distant town . There we could arrange 10 kgs from the halwais. By 11pm only 40 kg milk could be arranged. I was so upset that i thought of leaving this service. Ten kilogram water was mixed in the already diluted milk. In the early morning 4 kg milk was got at a high premium from the house of chief agriculture officer, by befriending a man ,who milked his buffaloes. The total quantity was handed over to the nazar of deputy commissioner ,who was overseeing all arrangements. We went to meet the ADC to tell him, ''Janab kamm ho gaya si (sir ,the work has been done)''.I heaved a sigh of relief that no further duty was assigned then.Had it been now ,we would have gone to spurious milk manufacturers and provided the material a day in advance.''

Criminal liability and failing Aadhaar verification
“Our servers secure, reliable” asserts the UIDAI. If so, why does verification fail? All the data, including biometrics, was captured by the UIDAI in specially organized camps in residential complexes. How many of the 121 Crore Aadhaar Cards fail verification? The UIDAI has submitted to the SC verification failure rates of 7 & 8% respectively for fingerprint/iris, which is enough to wreak havoc on the security of the nation and social upheaval. The citizen suffers a great inconvenience and terrible humiliation when it happens at airports or railway stations or banks; insurance claims; birth & death certificates; claiming dead bodies from mortuaries; passports or visa; registration of marriages etc. The Babus can always extend the list as they are experts in creating hurdle in smooth functioning of the very best honest government. Is there a need to find out why identification fails? Where have the biometrics of the citizen gone? Who is hungry for data? Besides Cambridge Analytica, who else has the hunger for personal data of the citizen? Is it the ISI of Pakistan or agencies in China, Russia, America, UK and Europe? What happens to the stolen data? Where does it go? What is its use? Persons familiar with “witness protection exercise” in the law and security establishment would know that the witness has to be given a new identity for its protection in really sensitive cases. But can it be equally misused by criminals for getting fake passports or other very brilliant ideas of modern day highly scientific crimes that our untrained guardians of the data do neither know nor understand? Finger prints, photograph and iris are all saleable data. Though fundamentally a good scheme, it was implemented during the climate of scams through outside contractors and large scale identification failures are only natural. The UIDAI is not interested in checking and correcting such errors. What use is such identity card or Aadhaar ? If the data is to be called reliable, correct, accurate and zero error storage, the UIDAI should take steps to verify it by door to door checking. It has to account for the stolen data also. Verification failure means the whole expenditure on preparation of Aadhaar cards has gone waste, being unreliable it can’t and shouldn’t be made compulsory for IT or opening bank account and is likely to prove to be a big scam too like 2G or Coalgate. Making telecoms liable to criminal action for non-compliance of instructions about verification is the height of arrogance of power by ignorant Babus exercising authority in the full knowledge of extensive verification failures of their own data kept in their secure servers!

Registration of local clinics and Nursing Homes under PM Scheme
My suggestion is related to registration of local clinic and Nursing Homes under Pradhan Mantri Aayushman Scheme scheduled to be launched on September 25, 2018. The registration of small and local clinics who wish to participate in the Scheme and contribute towards Health for All. It may be mentioned, in this connection, that it will, on the one hand contribute from their sides towards national mission and, if permitted, Government may be able to provide job to qualified doctors and technical supporting staffs who are based in small cities where health hazards are more and minimum health facilities exist in comparison to metro cities at a competitive rates. Once the rates are approved by the Government under the scheme. The doctors and technical staff will have no other option to toe with the lines of the Government. Hence, the treatment at a affordable price would also be possible.
