5 IRS officers promoted and given new postings
The CBIC has promoted four 1991 IRS(C&IT) officers to Chief Commissioner/DG grade on regular basis They are Simmi Jain, U. Niranjan, Manoj Kumar Srivastava and Atul Gupta II. Mayank Kumar 0f 1991 batch has been promoted ad-hoc basis from January 1, 2024. They have been given new postings. Accordingly Ms Jain has been appointed DG, Audit, Niranjan will join as DGGI, East, Srivastava goes to Panchkula GST & CX Zone, Gupta II will be DG, Valuation and Kumar will join Pune GST & CX Zone.
