Insiders  say that there were differences  between Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis  over the appointment of new Maharashtra Chief Secretary. While CM was in favour of I S Chahal Deputy CM was all for Rajesh Kumar. Finally at the last moment consensus was arrived  at over the name of senior most IAS officer that too a woman Sujata Saunik who is 1987 batch IAS officer.
