Tamil Nadu Cabinet reshuffled (UPDATED)

The Tamil Nadu Cabinet has been reshuffled on the recommendation of CM. The Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development Udhayanidhi Stalin has been elevated as Tamil Nadu’s Deputy Chief Minister in the Tamil Nadu Cabinet reshuffle and will be allotted the portfolio of Planning and Development, in addition to his existing portfolios. Chief Minister Stalin has also recommended that former Minister V Senthil Balaji, Dr. Govi Chezhiaan, R Rajendran and S M Nasar also be inducted in the Council of Ministers. On the other hand T Mano Thangaraj, Minister of Milk and Dairy Development, Gingee K S Masthan, Minister for Minorities Welfare and Non-Resident Tamils Welfare and Minister for Tourism, K Ramachandran, from the Council of Ministers. CM Stalin has also rejigged his cabinet. Dr. K. Ponmudy, who previously held the post of Minister for Higher Education, has been assigned the Forests Department. Siva V. Meyyanathan, the former Minister for Environment and Climate Change, has been appointed as the Minister for Backward Classes Welfare. R S Rajakannappan will now assume responsibility as the Minister for Milk and Dairy Development, as well as for Khadi. Minister N. Kayalvizhi Selvaraj, who previously held the Adi Dravidar Welfare portfolio, will now serve as the Minister for Human Resources Management. Dr. M. Mathiventhan has been named the new Minister for Adi Dravidar Welfare. Additionally, Thangam Thennarasu, the Minister for Finance and Human Resources Management, has been given the added responsibility of handling the Environment and Climate Change portfolio.
