Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme

Modi launches Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme I remember such a scheme has been operated/ used in Gujarat. Kutch region of Gujarat always faced scarcity of water. Daily one train full of water, courtesy Indian Railways, was provided to this region. The then in-charge of the body, which was supposed to provide/ arrange water for this region, invited young IIM Ahmedabad graduates/ final year students and sought their opinion/ suggestions to solve this problem. Gujarat Government under the then Chief Minister Narendra Bhai Modi is known for having a receptive mind for good suggestions. They implemented the suggestions provided by the young IIM Ahmedabad graduates/ students. This resulted in no scarcity of water in Kutch region and the daily train with water coming to that region was stopped as it was no longer needed.
