Time to abolish Income tax offices

There is a very strong case to abolish Income tax offices in India. Collection is automatic and through computerized system. There is a very high cost of collection of Income tax. There are too many officials manning positions. Now that these ITOs are computerized, there is a case for downsizing this department. The whole set up can be run with skeletal staff.
