IAS Aashika Jain belongs to the 2015 batch of Punjab cadre and is currently posted as Deputy Commissioner, Mohali. Previously, she served as additional deputy commissioner ,Urban Development, Jalandhar and has held various administrative roles within the government.

Regarding her vision for Mohali, Aashika’s dream project focuses on Housing development by providing all-weather roofs to all residents in the districts. “Pakka houses for all is a project” she explains "There are many people, especially migrants and some locals, who don't have a secure, all-weather roof. This is a complex issue, as the existing schemes do not necessarily cover them due to various reasons."

 A house is the most important place in one’s life. With this vision, Aashika is not fulfilling just her own dream, but the dreams of many. "The idea is to mobilize resources so that we can provide an all-weather roof to all residents in the district," she says.
