Sanjay Verma appointed DGP, Maharashtra by ECI (UPDATED)
Sanjay Verma, currently serving as DG of Legal and Technical, has been appointed as the new DGP of Maharashtra by the Election Commission of India. He is a 1990-batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre. Verma, who was leading the list of candidates for the full-time DGP position, is set to retire in April 2028.
