Vijay Kumar, first IPS officer joining Delhi segment from J&K
Vijay Kumar is the first officer of Indian Police Service (IPS) of 1997 batch joining Delhi segment from Jammu & Kashmir segment of AGMUT cadre at ADG level. Notably, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir came into existence in 2019. Earlier, Jammu & Kashmir was a separate cadre.
