whispers in the corridors
"Empowerment knows no boundaries, and ability is not defined by physical or intellectual limitations.” Embodying this spirit, NLCIL has been extending unwavering support to the intellectually challenged children of Sneha Opportunity School in Neyveli. Under the aegis of NLC India, Sneha Opportunity School offers a diverse range of educational programs tailored to the unique needs of its students. NLCIL's Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives have been instrumental in providing a modern computer laboratory and free mid-day Meals to the special children of the school since 2023-24. In an effort towards augmentation of these facilities, on December 20, 2024, during the function held as part of the “National Day of the Intellectually Challenged”, NLCIL CMD Prasanna Kumar Motupalli had announced a dedicated bus service for students of the Sneha Opportunity School which would be operational from January 2025 ensuring ease of transportation for students from outside Neyveli Township. This free dedicated transportation facility would ensure that the special students coming from peripheral villages can commute safely and conveniently. This free transportation facility was launched today, January 21, 2025 by Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD of NLC India Limited by flagging off the bus service in the presence of Smt Radhika Motupalli, President, Sneha Opportunity School; Samir Swarup, Director/HR and DVS Narayana Murthy, ED/Legal, CSR & NLC Hospital. The Principal & Committee members of Sneha Opportunity school, Senior officials of NLCIL, Children and parents participated in this event. This gesture not only alleviates difficulties faced by parents and students but also reinforces NLCIL's commitment to empowering marginalized communities.
