Rely on voluntary tax compliance

More powers lead to tax terrorism without any gain to revenue. At present heavy additions are made during scrutiny assessments leading to arduous litigation clogging appeal judiciary system and arrear demand has ballooned sky-high, so, the need of the hour is to scrap the scrutiny system and instead rely on voluntary tax compliance which is reflected in phenomenal growth in personal income tax.
