Ms Rashmi Singh is proving her mettle in the preponderance of male dominated management. She is one of the 27 women Board members out of 700 Board Members in Public Sector Undertakings (PSU). Ms Rashmi Singh has been serving as Director (Commercial), MOIL Limited since December 20, 2023. She had joined Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) as Management Trainee in 1991. She is an MBA with specialisation in Marketing. She has over 32 years of experience in SAIL in varied areas of Sales & Marketing of Steel in domestic sales as well as export markets. She has worked in different verticals of marketing function, encompassing Production Planning, Sales, Policy making, Market Research, Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Trade related matters, etc. As Head of Coal Import Group, Ms Singh was directly responsible for the corporate procurement of Imported Coal which is a significant and critical input for Steel Making. Ms Singh has been closely involved with finalisation and roll out of Turnaround strategies of SAIL. With her insightful commercial acumen, she has led a great number of initiatives for systemic improvement and boosting sales & revenue. She has been part of panel discussions on number of national and international conferences/seminars on Steel and Coal.
