Ms. Mukta Shekhar, Director General (DG), Government Accounting Standards Advisory Board (GASAB), Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, up to the date of her superannuation on March 31, 2029. She is an Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer.
