NLCIL celebrates Ambedkar Jayanthi (UPDATED)

NLCIL joined the Nation in observing the 134th AmbedkarJayanthi on April 14, 25. AmbedkarJayanthi is observed on 14th April every year to commemorate the memory of Dr B R Ambedkar, marking his birthday. Samir Swarup, Director (HR), NLCIL, paid floral tributes by garlanding Dr Ambedkar’s bronze statue at Pudukuppam Junction of Neyveli Township on behalf of NLCIL. The function was organised by the NLC SC/ST Employees’ Welfare Federation. Samir Swarup paid rich tributes to Dr.BabasahebAmbedkar by recalling the contributions made by him in drafting the Indian Constitution. Executive Directors, Senior officials of NLCIL, members of ST Employees Welfare Association and other NLCIL Trade Unions/Associations participated in the function. ThiruVeera. Balu, President and A Pazhanivelu, Office Secretary of NLC SC/ST Employees Welfare Federation were also present during the occasion. M Manisekaran, General Secretary of NLC SC/ST Employees Welfare Federation welcomed the gathering while R Ilayaraja, Treasurer, proposed vote of thanks. Floral tributes were also paid to the portrait of Dr BabasahebAmbedkar at all NLCIL Units and Offices by the respective Unit Heads.
