Adarsh Katiyar, who is an IPS officer of 1992 batch MP cadre took charge as additional director general of police (ADG), Bhopal. He succeeded IG Yogesh Deshkmukh who was transferred to the Police Headquarters (PHQ) Katiyar was appointed as the maiden SSP of Bhopal when the post was created and now Adarsh Katiyar is the first ADG to be posted at Bhopal
