Dr Aariz Aftab has been promoted to the Apex Scale of IAS as Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), West Bengal and Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Hill Affairs (Election) Department. He is a 1991 batch IAS officer of W Bengal cadre.
