DEBATE (1)
Why Modi only ? Any alternative will emerge as PM.

DEBATE (2)
Although there is no alternative of Narendra Modi, but his hagemony can be challenged by collective leadership.

“Impeachment Conundrum”
The impeachment motion of the Congress party targeting CJI, was rejected by the Vice President on ground of unproven misconduct of the CJI. It was held that allegations pertain to period when the CJI was either in private practice or holding a junior position. Two Congress MPs petitioned the Supreme court on May 7,2018 contesting Vice President’s rejection of impeachment notice, calling it arbitrary and illegal.
Situation took a dramatic turn on May 8,2018 when the petitioners’ lawyer withdrew impeachment plea challenging constitution of 5-judge bench of Supreme court while insisting to get a copy of judicial order from the Bench. Shocking high drama followed after the lawyer failed to justify the petition against the CJI.
Unprecedented, unpardonable misconduct.
Let the Top court initiate contempt proceedings against all concerned for filing a politically motivated plea and casting aspersions on the CJI alleging unproven misconduct.
The Congress is on the backfoot. But, introspect on some interesting possibilities:--
(a) Whether petition's withdrawal would set the judicial crisis and controversy at rest ? Perhaps, not,if the Congress leaders' naivete , arrogance and aggression are any indication. They are hell-bent
(b) What will happen ,if, the congress party ill-advised by its legal foot soldiers decide make all its MPs in Rajya Sabha as petitioners?;
(c) Will taking recourse to RTI route for getting a copy of " administrative order”,if any, issued by SC's Registrar General help particularly as it impinges on the internal functioning of the Apex court. This needs to be checked.
Let the legal eagles deliberate on the contentious issues and give their opinions to satisfy public curiosity.

DEBATE (1)
As on date, none. This is based on the premise that the voter does not foresee better candidate in place of existing one. So he/she would like status quo position. The position could be different if the present establishment does not shun its denial mode of every failure or under performance vis a vis its manifesto put forward in 2014.

DEBATE (2)
In the present scenario Modi is the only face.

Allegation of tampering with the RTI Application

The appellant filed an appeal to the CIC claiming that information on point no 2. of his applicantion regarding incoming call details of his number for a particular period has not been provided to him by the BSNL. He stated that the respondent has asked his identity proof by stating that, ‘information can only be given if the appellant will submit his identity proof’. The appellant stated that there is no provision under the RTI Act to ask for the appellant’s identity proof to give information. The respondent submitted that there is a cutting on point no. 2 of the RTI application of the appellant and it was presumed that the appellant does not want information in respect of the same. The appellant stated that he has not made any cutting on his RTI application and made an allegation against a Clerk for the cuttings in his RTI application. The CIC held that the respondent should give information to the appellant on point no. 2 of his RTI application regarding incoming and outgoing calls. The CIC directed the respondent to conduct an enquiry in the matter regarding tampering with the RTI application in consultation with the appellant and give a report to the Commission.
Comments
Allegation of tampering with the RTI Application is serious issue which may lead to imposition of penalty for obstructing free flow of information.

DEBATE (1)
There is no substitute of Narendra Modi till the time he decides to be in politics and to my guess he will surprise the country by leaving by his own before he actually needs to retire which no other politician dare to do till now.
Now the Question is who is next. I think Indian politics is heading towards institutionalization, so when ideology rules then anyone can head but the process itself will create new leaders but it will be from right wing only for sure. As of now no names.

DEBATE (2)
Time will decide. There was a time when Indira was India and India was Indira. Also, when India was shining. Now, Modi is BJP and BJP is Modi. In 2019, the Time will spring surprises. There is a saying - those who fall, rise again and those who rise, are sure to fall one day. This is the law of nature.

Manik Sarkar and Tripura
"Tripura’s former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has assiduously built up his image as an honest politician in the country. The recent letter written by him to the State government to provide him a SUV vehicle, asking for a residential accommodation befitting his stature and to appoint his former staff has not been relished by the media and people of Tripura. Together with this, a recent article on Tripura elections in the English national newspaper ”Pioneer” by one of the Tripura cadre officer Dr VK Bahuguna had exposed the chinks in Communist rule. Dr Bahuguna who had a wide ranging experience of work in both the Central and State government in different departments knew well the mechanizations of Sarkar. His article has created a ripple and is being discussed in the corridors of powers. Hope the new regime and Sunil Deodhar - architect of BJP’s Tripura victory reads this article and acts on the suggestions. Dr Bahuguna resigned from his post retirement job when he found that his action to check the organized loot in the agriculture and other departments has not yielded any results and the officers are being treated as mere pawn."

Lawlessness in UP badlands continues
A poor boy marries a poor girl in one of the towns in Western U.P. The community pools money for helping the girl's parents for the expenditure on the marriage. After the nikah the boy leaves with the bride for his home town along with his relatives in a hired cab. On the highway the cab is stopped by armed robbers .The bridegroom and his relatives are looted of whatever little cash they had and thrown out of the car. The bride is dressed in all her finery including 'artificial jewellery which the robbers think is gold. With guns in their hands the robbers proceed to rob her and out of fear she screams. They fire at her and kill her. Throwing her out they drive away with the vehicle. The bride left her house a few hours ago for her husband's house and her parents get back her body to bury within hours of bidding her farewell. This incident which happened the other day on Meerut Gaziabad highway shows how lawlessness in badlands of Uttar Pradesh continues notwithstanding the efforts of police to improve the law and order situation by killing criminals in encounters. The fact is that the present Government headed by Yogi Adityanath has failed on this front.

Eye opening
There has been conviction in two high fly cases. Without any prejudice and going into details of the case, the inference and learning can be drawn. Govt. did not have much idea of asset accumulation to the tune of Rs. 10,000 crores and 400+ asrams. This money remains out of the Govt. system and may be forming parallel economy in the country. These trusts/asrams are serving (as claimed) to the welfare of people and society at large. Now let these trusts to serve the country as well and contribute to the GDP of the country. This can be done by making their receipts by way of donations/contributions taxable i.e. bringing their donations as taxable income thru an Amendment in Income Tax Act 1961. There will be two way gain first Govt. will come to know their income and liabilities along with assets details and secondly the revenue to the Govt. by way of taxes. Any how these trusts/asrams are serving people, now their scope of serving will increase towards nation also. Similarly most of the NGOs are run by celebrity of various disciplines, leaders, corporate houses etc. and serving to the people and if their donation or contribution is made taxable, they will serve to the Nation also by giving taxes to the Govt. and the Govt. will have all details about NGOs. Similarly there are hundreds of parties and having donations and contributions which is tax exempt. Let these parties should also serve the Nation and contribute to the GDP of the country by paying income tax on donation and contribution. Necessary amendment is needed in Income Tax Act 1961 to make the donations and contributions taxable of following entities: 1. Trusts/Asrams 2. NGOs 3. Parties This will be great service to the nation if their income is made taxable. Submitted to the Govt. for their kind consideration in the interest of the country. This will be another game changer after demonetization and GST. All the best.

No replacement of Modi.

Opposition must be united to replace Modi or one should not think that any one else is there to replace him in 2019.

New leadership can be seen in MP
A strategic move by Rahul Gandhi can be very fruitful for his party in the state of Madhya Pradesh as the new man in has a corporate style of working , much experienced than leaders sitting in the cabinet & is a tough master. Charisma of present CM Shivraj Singh is well established in the state but a corporate style of working like Narendra Modi makes all the difference in today’s scenario. Chances of opposition seem bright in the times to come.

All have ganged up against PM !
I agree fully with M.L. Gupta's analysis. All those deprived of power, pelf, patronage, fruits of corruption funds, including my tribe of shameless bureaucrats and my wife's tribe of half educated academics, who like the four disgruntled judges seek greatness through nomination, instead of competition, have all ganged up against our PM. Unfortunately for them, the people can no more be taken to be fools and will teach them the lesson they will never forget! Except the vested interests, anti national elements, and jihadis, today the people are solidly behind the PM, and will ably demonstrate it in 2019. Fortunately our PM is going ahead with plans of development, unperturbed by all the noise of these elements, knowing fully well that the overwhelming majority of our countrymen and voters are solidly behind him. Oh! I also forgot to mention about the disgruntled elements within BJP, who will also learn the lession of their life, though posing as great leaders today, without any followers. Our PM will come back in 2019 with thumping majority. I am sure he will take a few steps just before elections, which will totally stun all his detractors into a state of shock and awe!

Dent in the independence of the judiciary
The state of affairs between the judiciary and the executive as being witnessed of late is worrisome. There is definitely a dent in the independence of the judiciary. The goings on right in the Apex court where judges hold press conference and criticise the chief justice or the open conflict among brother judges in the high courts make one lose one's faith in the courts. One major reason for all this garbage coming out of our courts is the corruption that has engulfed those who are sitting on judgment on our cases and the years pass before one can get a final verdict. Dates after dates on trivial grounds are manipulated by the parties not interested in getting a quick verdict when they think it would not be in their favour. Judgments are reserved for months even in simple cases relating to service conditions then written by a clerk or the interested party who would have managed the bench. I have personally seen a case where the high court bench instead of giving justice to the aggrieved in a seniority case delivered a judgment after 11 months further down grading the petitioner's seniority. It was obvious that the judgment was written by interested respondents and the bench did not even care to read. Where does the aggrieved go. Supreme court which did not even admit the plea. Then who can afford the amount charged by lawyers for handling your case. So you accept the injustice done to you though it rankles you all your life. How can one say then that i have full faith in judicial process.

Enquiry for misplacing the records

Certain information relating to the representation of the appellant was denied claiming that it was not traceable in their record. The appellant claimed that his letter dated 14.10.2013 was sent by Speed Post vide tracking no. ED 888476332 IN and also delivered personally to the office of the CMD of Bank. The Commission observed that record keeping and proper maintenance of files is a key function of any public authority. Hence, it is imperative to ascertain the facts leading to the misplacement of the representation submitted by the appellant. The Commission directed the First Appellate Authority of Oriental Bank of Commerce, Head Office, Gurgaon to inquire into the matter of the ‘missing’ representation and to ascertain as to whether the representation was actually misplaced or the PIO had taken that plea to deny information to the appellant. The FAA was directed to take appropriate departmental action against the officers/officials responsible for the misplacement of the representation, if required. A copy of the inquiry report along with the action taken report to be provided to the Information Commission as well as to the appellant within a period of six weeks.
Comments
All organisations should take a note of the fact that in case of ‘missing’ records, the Information Commission has started taking strict action for not taking due care of the records.

DEBATE (1)
Naidu Leads The Opposition Sprint The political scene in India is hotting-up as only about a year’s time is left for the next general election to the parliament. It is somewhat difficult to digest for political observers that almost 47 months have peacefully passed without even a single scam in India since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister in May 2014. It looks like a walk over to prime minister Modi. That perception has made the opposition jittery. They are trying to do whatever they can to “check/deter/stop/defeat” Modi in his mission 2019. They are best defined as “crowd” in the glossary of Urbanisation. Like the crowd, they too have no “leader” at present. They are humouring themselves with the woolly idea of “collective leadership” or “co-operative leadership” which envisages rotating prime ministership going from party to party at pre-determined intervals. Unfortunately for them, the Indian voters think differently. The efforts so far made have not gone beyond a loose alliance of parties opposed to Prime Minister Modi. Though not yet successful, they are trying to form a grand alliance of all like-minded parties opposed to Modi. The problem is that there is no glue available at present. Earlier the Congress Party used to provide that glue treated chemically by the communist parties and regional leaders like Lalu Yadav. Lalu is undergoing imprisonment for embezzlement of public money from the treasury and is unlikely to come out in the next 15 years. The Congress President is a young man with no significant experience in political affairs. Besides, his leadership of the alliance is not acceptable to many others. Mamata Banerji, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC (Trinamool Congress) has been pursuing the proposal most fervently, but nobody takes her seriously outside West Bengal. Sharad Pawar of the NCP has long cherished the ambition to occupy the chair of the prime minister of India without success. Mayawati of the BSP will watch from the side lines the developments before playing her cards. Akhilesh Yadav of the SP (Samajwadi Party) is likely to come out openly but has no influence for the moment as the strength of his party in the Lok Sabha and state Assembly has gone down abysmally. The Orissa Chief Minister is unlikely to get involved in the alliance politics except to the extent necessary in the interest of his party and state. The DMK and AIDMK can play limited roles in critical situations in a confidence motion. The Chief Minister of Telangana has extended support to Mamata’s efforts, but whether he will accept her as his leader is doubtful. Nitish Kumar has not encouraged the alliance evangelists so far and is unlikely to go with them beyond superficial endorsement in case it becomes politically expedient. That has left Chandrababu Naidu of the TDP (Telugu Desam Party)to fill the vacuum. Chandra Babu Naidu has played politics for very narrow interests. He was with the ruling NDA (National Democratic Alliance) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is a seasoned politician. In spite of that, he had failed to stall the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He was building a New Andhra Pradesh of the truncated old one and was a part of the ruling alliance at the centre. He has suddenly chosen to part ways on extremely flimsy grounds. He has not only withdrawn his ministers from the central government but the BJP too has withdrawn its ministers from his cabinet in Andhra Pradesh. His party has given notice of a No Confidence Motion against the Modi government as his rival in Andhra Pradesh the YSR Congress Party too had given similar notice prior to him. The ground is that the central government has not given Andhra Pradesh its due under the terms of the bifurcation. It is facetious. Naidu was privy to the decisions of the Modi government. Modi is not a leader who would renege on sacred commitments. He doesn’t play cheap politics. He is one leader who is confident of himself and fulfils his commitment without any hitch. Clearly, Chandrababu Naidu has been misled into believing that the need for a substitute for Narendra Modi has arisen and so he is positioning himself to claim his share in the power roulette. But he has underestimated the power of his opponents who had long been trying to depose him. The Congress Party especially has no longing for Chandrababu Naidu. That leaves him in the lurch worse than the zealous advocate of Modi Roko Squad Mamata Banerji. Narendra Modi is so lucky that his detractors lose steam even before they can gather traction. The Indian Opposition Parties have never been in greater disarray as now. Ever since H. D. Deve Gowda managed to become the prime minister of India in fluid political situation in 1996, every politician has been dreaming of doing so at some time in the future. But they forget that today’s India is radically different from the one of 1996.Today Narendra Modi is the most qualified leader to lead the country. People like Chandra Babu Naidu have yet to establish their credentials to be entrusted with the onerous responsibilities of the prime minister of the country. Naidu has made the gravest error of judgement by severing connections with the NDA and withdrawing his ministers from the Narendra Modi cabinet and giving notice of a no confidence motion against the Modi government. It was the time for him to share the glory of a full term of good governance by a collective of clean leaders under the leadership of Narendra Modi. Instead, he has invited condemnation of the public in general for creating unnecessary uncertainty in the country and adding fuel to the embers of opposition fire. The country is prepared to witness acts of treason in the Alliance Partners versus others, Alliance Partners versus BJP, BJP versus BJP, RSS versus BJP, RSS versus Modi. It is also prepared to face storm of fake news, malicious news, paid news, sponsored debates, commissioned social media barrage, engineered riots or violent agitations, scores of Cambridge Analytica kind spy onslaughts, gold or silver showers, tsunami of regional issues inflated to gain undue benefits like Special Status for the state or other untried artillery. What they fail to understand is that Narendra Modi is perched so high that they can not produce a leader to touch his shoulder even in the next ten years. That is where they will suffer humiliation. In the process, Indian polity will be washed of the soot and dirt of politicians unsuited and their archaic thoughts. In the most unlikely situation of succeeding in capturing power, as they did in 2004, they would only be taking the country back by more than 35 years and repeat the horror of a corrupt and inefficient government (2004-2014). Only an ingenuous person would accept such an alternative.
