DEBATE (1)
Opposition lacks charismatic leader to take on Modi. Even if there is an anti-incumbency wave against incumbent Narendra Modi, he may retain the power in 2019 as opposition lacks leadership. Congress party is promoting Rahul Gandhi to take on NaMo in Lok Sabha elections but the former is derided as political virgin. RaGa, a successful politician manqué, splits between certain and uncertain political future. Political scenario suggests that BJP can get walkover in coming General Elections.

I feel four years of Modi rule has gone down the drain without any visible results. Unluckily even if he wishes to do something, nothing moves as our system fails and we as part of the system fail the system too. The present political scenario is so perplex that there is no leader visible to lead the nation that includes Modi too. None of the political parties have a road map or vision for India. My conclusion is, we will see Modi as PM in 2019 with a fractured mandate.

Highly disgusting
The recent two horrific incidents one of gangrape and murder of 8 year old girl from Bakarwal community in Kathua in Jammu Province and the alleged rape of a girl in Unnao U.P by BJP MLA and killing of her father by brutal beating by the brother of the MLA while policemen just watched again proves how low we have become as society. In the first instance there are protests to save the accused from any action. Even the BJP ministers in the J&K Government have joined those protests. How sickening. ! A child is drugged and raped and brutally killed and there is demand for no action against the perpetrators of this heinous crime making it a communal issue. In Unnao, the alleged rapist appears on sundry TV channels smiling and arrogantly strutting about. No action has been taken so far. The girl's father is brutally killed in police custody and the police just watched instead of saving him. The Unnao incident just shows that there is no letup in the crime graph of U.P notwithstanding the killing of so many 'criminals' by staged encounters around. Everyday there are news of robbery, snatching and killings in several badlands of UP including those in the NCR region. Is it not then shameful for the Government to trumpet their achievements during one year of their rule for which you find so many hoardings around.
