In a major administrative reshuffle in Tamil Nadu, as many as 17 IAS officers have been assigned new responsibilities. Dr K Manivasan has been posted as ACS, Water Resources Department, while Dr B Chandra Mohan will join as Principal Secretary, Tourism, Culture and Religious Endowments Department and Mangat Ram Sharma was appointed ACS, Public Works Department. Similarly, Dr P Senthil Kumar is transferred and posted as PS, Environment, Climate Changes and Forest Department; Mrs Supriya Sahu as ACS, Health & Family Welfare; Gagandeep Singh Bedi as ACS, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj; Pradeep Yadav as ACS, Higher Education; Dr R Selvaraj as Secretary, Highways and Minor Ports Department; A John Louis as Director. Social Security Scheme; M Vijayalakshmi as Director, Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy; Dr N Venkatachalam as Commissioner, Archives and Historical Research; T N Hariharan as Commissioner, Land Reforms; Mrs R Lilly as Special Secretary, Transport; Dr Sandeep Saxena as ACS/Chairman & MD, Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd; Dr M Sai Kumar as ACS/Chairman & MD, Tamil Nadu Industrial Investments Corporation Ltd. (TIIC); Dr C N Maheswaran was appointed as MD, Tamil Nadu Salt Corporation Ltd. Besides, Dr R Vaithinathan, Director of Information and Public Relations will hold full additional charge (FAC) of the post of MD, Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation and T S Jawahar, ACS/Project Director, Tamil Nadu Irrigated Agriculture Modernisation Project will hold FAC of the post of Secretary, Social Reforms.
