EC removes Maha DGP Rashmi Shukla; New names suggested (UPDATED)
Election Commission has ordered immediate transfer of Maharashtra DGP Rashmi Shukla, acting on the complaints from INC and other parties. EC directs Maharashtra Chief Secretary to handover her charge to the next senior most IPS officer in the cadre and send a panel of three IPS officers by November 5, 2024 1 PM for appointment as DGP Maharashtra. Three names proposed for DG MH are Sanjay Verma, Sanjeev Kumar Singal and Ritesh Kumar.
