International Art Salon ‘Panorama Editions’ at Gwalior Fort (UPDATED)

Gwalior Fort will serve as an extraordinary backdrop for a unique performance art event, A Street Cart Named Desire. This is the fourth edition of Panorama Editions, created by renowned and award-winning artist and filmmaker Sarah Singh. The event will feature over 48 international and Indian artists. The performance will blend a diverse array of artistic expressions, including classical music, dance, opera, and more, creating an immersive and captivating cultural experience in this unique historic setting. Entry is between 5.30-6pm and the program starts promptly at 6.30pm until 8.30pm. Co-produced in partnership with the Government of Madhya Pradesh’s Departments of Tourism and Culture, UNESCO, the Royal Family of Gwalior, Ambassador Monika Kapil Mohta and Siddhaant Mohta of Sopaan, and over 15 diplomatic embassies and cultural centres, this year’s Panorama Editions is a significant testament to global cultural exchange. Countries participating include Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Switzerland, Portugal, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark, Ukraine, Guatemala, and Lithuania. The event is made possible by the generous support of VFS Global, Caparo Group, CBSL Group, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and IndiGo. The event will open on 16th to a notable audience including key figures from India’s cultural, political, and economic spheres, as well as senior representatives from over 25 diplomatic missions. Previous volumes of the Panorama Editions have taken place at iconic heritage sites in Patiala, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer. Volume 4 of this distinguished series leverages the grandeur of the historic Gwalior Fort, incorporating it as a central element in this one-of-a-kind theatrical performance. In addition to the live performance, a related exhibition will be held at the Jai Vilas Palace Museum, showcasing props and costumes from the production. Supported by the Gwalior Royal Family, the exhibition will be open to the public from November 16 to November 24, 2024. Following this, the exhibition will travel to Purana Quila in Delhi, where it will be on display from December 5 to December 10, 2024.
