1950 batch IPS officer M L Puri passes away at 107
M L Puri, who was born on November 19, 1917 at Sehala village in Ludhiana district in Punjab and experienced the leadership of Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru as first Prime Minister of India, passed away on November 17, 2024 in Bangalore. Puri was to celebrate his 107th birth anniversary on November 19, 2024 in Bangalore and died two days before the birthday celebration. Puri was an IPS officer of first recruitment of IPS officers in the 1950 batch and a lone surviving IPS officer of this batch. Presently, he was enjoying his retiring life with family members in Bangalore.
