IPS Pradeep Sharma is currently posted as Superintendent of Police, Ujjain, he is a 2014 batch MP Cadre IPS officer. The city is blessed with the centuries-old Mahakal Temple and also serves as the home to the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav. 

Under Sharma’s leadership to address the concerns of elderly residents a Senior citizen Cell was initiated. "Ujjain is growing and urbanizing, but as people move away, senior citizens are often left behind. They face multiple problems, so we started the Senior Citizen Cell," he said.

The cell meets every Wednesday from 11am-1pm providing a platform for senior citizens to voice their concerns. It’s not just limited to the crimes against them but also assists with issues related to other departments, such as revenue, banking, and electricity “Citizens visit us every Wednesday, and we ensure their issues are addressed by the following Wednesday, providing a status report on the progress made.” Sharma explained.
