About half-a-dozen names of senior officers are in discussion for the post of Chief Secretary in Telangana, but sources also claim that a dark horse may win the race, finally. Bureaucratic circle is abuzz that Union Information and Broadcasting Secretary Sanjay Jaju (IAS: 1992: TG) may return to Telangana as Chief Secretary (CS). The incumbent CS A Shanthi Kumari (IAS: 1989: TG) is retiring in April, 2025. Jaju has been on central deputation since 2014 except for a brief tenure. In 2022, he worked as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at Telangana Bhawan.
