Mrityunjay Kumar Singh is now Advisor to SHRACHI group at Kolkata

Mrityunjay Kumar Singh (Retired IPS officer of 1987 batch of West Bengal) is going to assume the role of  Advisor to the SHRACHI group at Kolkata. Singh has completed his Master of Arts in Political Science from University of Delhi. A member of the Indian Police Service of 1987 batch, he has more than 36 years of experience with West Bengal Police. Apart from serving West Bengal Police and Kolkata Police in different capacities, he has worked in various capacities like as Counsellor of the Embassy of India, Jakarta, Represented India as a member of the Working Committee to formulate scope and objectives of ‘Bali Democracy Forum’, Represented India in UNICEF’s multilateral discussion ,Worked for SAARC summit in Dhaka in 2005 and many more. He is also remembered as an established poet and writer of both Bhojpuri and Hindi, and has earned immense laurels in the various literary festivals of India. He is an established category folk singer of ICCR too. He is largely associated with Publications, Literary & Cultural works.  His poems includes 'Draupadi', ‘Aas Ke Aabhas’, Drama includes ‘'The Dice of Desire', Novel includes ‘Ganga Ratan Bidesi’ in Bhojpuri and Hindi.
