whispers in the corridors

Will history be repeated in CBI?
The Government of India had surprised at the appointment of Pravin Sood as Director of the CBI. The 1986 batch Karnataka cadre IPS officer Sood had never served in CBI in any capacity but was chosen as its Chief because of his long experience in the vigilance in the state. Similar case is in Madhya Pradesh where 1989 batch IPS officer Ajay Sharma never worked in CBI but spent most of his police career in EOW and Lokayukta in the state. A man of integrity with his outstanding performance in Vigilance may attract the GoI bosses. Incidentally Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora is said to be ahead for the post of CBI Chief. He is a 1988 batch IPS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre.
